GENBAND and CCI Form Partnership Alliance Targeting Cable Telephony Market; CCI to Offer GENBAND's Full Suite of IMS-Based and PacketCable(TM) Qualified VoIP Solutions.


PLANO, Texas -- GENBAND(TM) Inc., a leading provider of telecommunications infrastructure products enabling converged services; and CCI (Cable Constructors Inc.) from Iron Mountain Michigan, an industry expert in the design, construction, and maintenance of broadband communications systems; have entered into a distribution agreement to sell GENBAND's full portfolio of next generation IMS-based products.

CCI will resell GENBAND's product and solutions portfolio and provide system integration services including full turnkey supply, project management and deployment, network integration services and full field support. The GENBAND product portfolio that CCI will sell and integrate includes the G6(R) Universal Media Gateway, C2(TM) Signaling Controller, and S4(TM) Applications Server. Deployed individually or together as a best-of-breed signaling, application and media gateway solution, GENBAND's IMS-based solutions allow cable service providers to easily and cost effectively deploy advanced consumer and small business VoIP services in a Class 5 derived or softswitched architecture based on PacketCable requirements.

A demonstration of GENBAND's converged services product portfolio that CCI will be selling can be see at the National Show in the Georgia World Convention Center, Atlanta on April 8-11, Booth #2526. As part of the demonstration, GENBAND will showcase a cost effective Cable VoIP deployment utilizing its S4 Application Server for advanced Class 5 services, the C2 Signaling Controller as a SIP to SS7 media gateway, and the G6 Universal Gateway providing voice communications between packet-based networks and circuit-based networks.
