GE Supply Expands Southeast Asia, China Presence with GE Supply Asia PTE Ltd.

: GE), announced today it is significantly expanding its Southeast Asian operations and targeting the Chinese market. In an agreement finalized December 10th in Singapore, GE Supply increased its stake in the Clayton Electric Company to 80 percent. It has held a minority position in Clayton since 2000. The name of the Company has been changed to GE Supply Asia PTE Ltd PTE LTD Private Limited .

Headquartered in Singapore, GE Supply Asia has opened sales offices in Beijing and Shanghai. The new business primarily serves engineer constructors and the oil and gas industry in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, China, Vietnam, and South Korea. 2002 sales were in excess of $25 million (Singapore).
