), has purchased the silicone rubber custom compounding assets of Performance Processing, a division of West American Rubber (WARCO WARCO Warranty Control Office

). Terms of the sale were not disclosed. Performance Processing, located in Orange, CA, is a custom compounder of silicone elastomers. The acquired business will be integrated with ASI, GE Silicones' current custom compounding business. GE Silicones' custom elastomer elastomer (ĭlăs`təmər), substance having to some extent the elastic properties of natural rubber. The term is sometimes used technically to distinguish synthetic rubbers and rubberlike plastics from natural rubber.  business includes facilities in Garrett, IN; Chino Chino (chē`nō), city (1990 pop. 59,682), San Bernardino co., S Calif.; founded 1887, inc. 1910. It is the business and processing center of a diversified farming (notably dairying) area. , CA; and Waterford, NY.
