GE Receives Two OSHA Awards Today in Houston; Separate Announcement Made on a $50,000 GE Fund Grant to Houston Independent School District.

At an award ceremony held today, two GE businesses located at the same Houston-area site received OSHA's highest honor for safety and health management, Voluntary Protection Program (VPP VPP Voluntary Protection Program (OSHA)

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration's (OSHA) Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) requires participating companies to implement and maintain comprehensive management systems with a high level of employee involvement to prevent and control potential safety and health hazards health hazard Occupational safety Any agent or activity posing a potential hazard to health.
