GE Names Four Company Officers.

FAIRFIELD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 1, 2001

General Electric today announced the appointment of four company officers:

Candace Carson, 41, is CFO, GE Energy Services. Carson earned a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Miami University in Ohio.

Ranieri de Marchis, 42, is CFO Oil and Gas, GE Power Systems based in Florence, Italy. de Marchis earned an economics degree from LUISS in Italy and received his MBA from Fontainebleau.

Scott Ernest, 42, has been named Vice President and General Manager, Global Overhaul Operations, GE Engine Services, a division of GE Aircraft Engines. Most recently he served as Synergy Leader on the Honeywell acquisition and prior to that, he was General Manager, Sourcing for GE Aircraft Engines. Ernest earned a Master of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Cincinnati, a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Akron.

Wayne Hewett, 36, has been named President, GE Plastics - Pacific Region. His previous position was President/CEO GE-Toshiba Silicones based in Tokyo, Japan. Hewett received both a Master of Science degree in industrial engineering and a Bachelor of Science degree from Stanford University.
