GE Appoints Four Company Officers.


FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- GE today announces the appointment of four new company officers.

Michael J. Kalmes, 54, is Vice President, Sales, Energy Services for GE Infrastructure. Prior to this role, he was the General Manager for Contractual Services in Energy, a role he began in February 1998. From October 1981 to February 1998, Kalmes was the Vice President of Long Term Services for Stewart & Stevenson, which was acquired by GE in February 1998. Keith W. Newman, 47, is Vice President & General Counsel, GE Consumer Finance. Prior to this role, he was the General Counsel, GE Industrial, Plastics a role he began in November 2002. From February 2001 to November 2002, Newman was the General Counsel of GE Lighting. He started with the Company in 1996 as Transactions & Finance Counsel for GE Corporate. Newman received his Juris Doctor The degree awarded to an individual upon the successful completion of law school.
