GE & GLS Cooperate on overmolding. (In Brief).
GE Plastics, Pittsfield, Mass., has formed a joint-development alliance with GLS GLS - Guy Lewis Steele, Jr. Corp., McHenry, Ill. They will develop compatible combinations of GE's engineering thermoplastics and GLS's TPEs for hard-soft overmolding applications. GE substrate materials could include ABS (Automatic Backup System) See backup program. , polycarbonate A category of plastic materials used to make a myriad of products, including CDs and CD-ROMs. , and PC/ABS PC/ABS Polycarbonate/Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene alloy.
