GASB requires more statistical disclosure.


GASB has issued Statement No. 44, Economic Condition Reporting: The Statistical Section, which enhances and updates the statistical section that accompanies a state or local government's basic financial statements.

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

The statistical section comprises schedules presenting trend information about revenues and expenses; outstanding debt; economics and demographics; among other subjects.

The statement reflects changes that have taken place in government finance, including the more comprehensive governmentwide financial information required by GASB Statement No. 34.
