 GAS PRICE INCREASES 1.1 CENTS, AAA REPORTS
 ORLANDO, Fla., June 16 /PRNewswire/ -- The national average price of


self-serve regular unleaded gasoline continued its upward trend this week, rising 1.1 cents to $1.176 per gallon, the American Automobile Association reports.
 This is the highest price since February 1991 when self-serve regular unleaded averaged $1.183 per gallon.
 The Fuel Gauge Report -- based on a nationwide spot check of gasoline stations -- was conducted for AAA by Computer Petroleum Corp. of St. Paul, Minn.
 The average price of regular unleaded was higher in all regions of the country except the Great Lakes, AAA said.
 The national average price of self-serve mid-grade unleaded is .9 cent higher at $1.265 per gallon. The price of premium unleaded increased .9 cent to $1.349.
 In addition to surveying for the AAA Fuel Gauge Report, Computer Petroleum Corp. publishes the National Petroleum Price Index, which monitors more than 50,000 daily wholesale and retail gasoline prices throughout the United States and Canada.
 AAA is a not-for-profit federation of 145 motor clubs with more than 1,000 offices providing its more than 33 million members in the U.S. and Canada with travel, insurance, financial and auto-related services.
