GARFIELD RETAINS POST; 2 RUNOFFS SET : COMMUNITY COLLEGES.

In the race for the Los Angeles Community College District The Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) is the community college district serving Los Angeles, California and some of its neighboring cities. In addition to typical college aged students, the LACCD also serves adults of all ages.  Board late Tuesday night, incumbent Elizabeth Garfield won re-election, but the front-runners in the other two offices will face runoffs.

In the Office 2 race, Garfield, an attorney, won, with civil engineer Charles Bergson and attorney Andrew Kim trailing far behind.

In the open Office 4 seat, Kelly Candaele, a teacher, writer and filmmaker, was leading social worker Richard Yanez, police Lt. Ross Ross , Sir Ronald 1857-1932.
