GANG SHOOTING VICTIM CRITICAL.

PALMDALE - A 19-year-old Palmdale man was in critical condition after being shot three times before he crashed his car into a parked vehicle, authorities said Saturday.

 said a 16-year-old Palmdale boy, whose name was not released because of his age, was arrested soon after the shooting Friday afternoon.

Gang investigators said they recovered two 9 mm handguns from the boy's apartment.

Officials said the shooting occurred about 4:50 p.m. Friday on 3rd Street East near Avenue Q-3 as the victim, whose name was being withheld for his safety, was speaking with three men later identified as known gang members.

A brief argument ensued and one of the gang members fired several times, striking the victim three times in the upper body, officials said.

The other two men believed to be involved in the shooting were not immediately located.
