It's also the only one that opens its walls to anyone interested in renting the 3,000-square-foot building for a display, said Margaret Travers, a member of the committee. ``We have shows by groups or by individuals or by groups of individuals,'' Travers said. ``The rental allows for the art hanging, having a reception and staffing of the gallery. It's up to the group to provide staffing - it's all volunteer here.'' The gallery is usually booked solid. The gallery, located next to the Newbury Park Branch Library at Borchard Road and Michael Drive, has space available in August. The next opening won't be until January, she said. ``We've gotten a wonderful response,'' Travers said. ``In this part of the county, this is the only gallery where anyone can rent it or use it.'' Groups often rent the gallery to give workshops and classes, Travers said. For example, a group of 35 artists presenting a show this week called ``Splash 397'' is hosting well-known Camarillo artist Phyllis J. Doyon, who will teach a class on monoprinting, Travers said.
