Galaxy (7-4-2) update: After 1-0 losses last week at Colorado and FC Dallas, the Galaxy hasn't won in 14 games away from Home Depot Center, dating to late June 2004. It will be without defender Tyrone Marshall, serving a suspension for yellow cards. This is the third game in a four-game trip and the last of four meetings this season with Real. In its last trip to Utah, L.A. dominated but fell 2-1. Real Salt Lake (3-8-2) update: The expansion team has been shut out its past five matches and not scored in 501 minutes - since May 18. Coach John Ellinger changed to a 3-5-2 system last weekend, but RSL lost 3-0 at San Jose. Forward Clint Mathis is suspended for yellow-card points, and defender Brian Dunseth likely will be sidelined with a groin injury. CHIVAS USA at FC DALLAS Kickoff: 5:30 p.m., Cotton Bowl. TV/Radio: None; 830-AM (T), 8:30 p.m. Chivas USA (1-10-3) update: MLS's worst team is seeking its first victory and trying to snap an eight-game winless streak. Out with injuries are defender Alfonso Loera (knee), forward Isaac Romo (hamstring) and goalkeeper Martin Zuniga (knee), who appears to have lost the starting job to rookie Brad Guzan. Chivas plays Saturday at Kansas City. FC Dallas (8-2-3) update: Forwards Carlos Ruiz (ankle) and Eddie Johnson (toe) are missing, but they were out for last weekend's 1-0 win over the Galaxy, which gave Dallas MLS's best record. Dallas won both meetings at Home Depot Center, 3-1 on April 23 and 5-2 on May 22. |
