GAIN Capital Group Appoints Chief Financial Officer; Former CFO of Refco LLC, Alexander Bobinski, Named to Post.

BEDMINSTER, N.J. -- GAIN Capital Group, Inc, a leading provider of foreign exchange trading and asset management services for institutional and individual investors, today announced the appointment of Alexander R. Bobinski, CPA, as chief financial officer.

Mr. Bobinski brings to GAIN 18 years of financial, accounting and capital markets experience in and around the futures industry. Most recently, Mr. Bobinski was chief financial officer at Refco, LLC, one of the world's largest futures trading and clearing firms, with over 200,000 customers and $4 billion in customer assets. At Refco LLC, Mr. Bobinski managed the finance, treasury and accounting operations of the firm, as well as due diligence and integration efforts for acquisitions.

At GAIN, Mr. Bobinski is responsible for the firm's financial operations, including accounting, treasury and cash management, and reporting. As a member of the executive management team, Mr. Bobinski will also focus on strategic corporate development and expansion initiatives. He reports directly to GAIN's Chief Executive Officer Mark Galant.

Prior to Refco, Mr. Bobinski spent 10 years at Nomura Securities International as vice president and controller for their futures and options business. Additionally, for twelve years he was sole proprietor of Futures Accounting and Consulting Services providing accounting and compliance services to Commodity Pool Operators, Commodity Trading Advisors and Introducing Brokers. Mr. Bobinski also served as controller/compliance director at Bridgewater USA, Inc. Mr. Bobinski began his career at the National Futures Association as an in-charge auditor. A Certified Public Accountant, Mr. Bobinski also holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration/Accounting from Ramapo College of New Jersey.
