SNVIDIA 3D VISION GAMING SYSTEM. .. . pounds 299 ome of us are still catching up with the high-definition revolution sweeping home entertainment, but it's becoming increasingly difficult to ignore the renaissance of 3D. Sky are primed to start broadcasting with an extra dimension once compatible TV sets hit the market next year, while Acer are due to launch a 3D-enabled laptop this year.

Graphics card specialists nVidia have also got in on the act, releasing this all-singing all-dancing 3D system for PCs.

Compatible with most recent nVidia graphics cards, the bundle comes with a pair of glasses and an infrared transmitter, along with a 3D-ready 22in Samsung SM2233RZ monitor (right) that's a decent display on its own.

While it doesn't add the jump-outof-the-screen effect you might expect, it gives a noticeably other-worldly depth between foreground and background objects, with FPS and racing games.

Adding extra immersion, the potential is obvious, particularly with a number of high-profile games makers all set to support the system in the future.

INDIANA JONES AND THE STAFF OF KINGS. .. . Wii, pounds 29.99 Set a year after the events of The Last Crusade, we once again find Indy in a race against time, here on the trail of Moses' powerful Staff Of Kings. It's classic Indy fare, humorous and exciting, with plenty of nods to key sequences in the movie series. Much of the game plays like Tomb Raider (no bad thing) with Jones traversing dangerous ruins in search of clues. One of the better looking Wii games you'll get to play, it also boasts some top-notch voice acting. Combat is meaty and tactical with a flick of the Wiimote entrapping foes in Indy's trusty whip. Perhaps a tad easy, it nevertheless delivers as an authentic take on the classic rogue, jammed full of great additional content.
