Forde is currently in charge of the Connacht Under-17 Compromise Rules squad but the Castlebar's man's dedication to his job as manager of Sligo is highlighted by the fact that he has decided not to travel to Australia with the squads next Easter.

He decided to opt out of the Compromise Rules trip because of the travel involved plus the two weeks in Australia.

Forde has an impressive record both in management and on the field of play in senior and under-age football.
