GAA: THE MUNSTER FINAL PART II; SUSPENDED TRIO GO TO TRIBUNAL.

A TRIBUNAL to hear the appeals of Ulster trio Ryan McMenamin Ryan 'Ricey' McMenamin is a Canadian-born Irish Gaelic football player who plays for Tyrone. He plays his club football for Dromore in Tyrone.

 was rejected by the Central Appeals Committee on Friday night and now their cases move onto the next level with a tribunal to be chaired by Hugh O'Flaherty.

The Disputes Resolution Authority met at short notice on Saturday morning as McMenamin was still hoping to line out for Tyrone against Monaghan that afternoon but his application to suspend his ban pending the full hearing of the dispute was turned down.

Tyrone secretary Dominic McCaughey said: "We are satisfied with the process, if not the outcome.

"We appreciate that the stops were pulled out - to only get the decision at midnight (on Friday) and then have a tribunal set-up for 11am this morning was outstanding."

Now all focus shifts to Wednesday night, with McMenamin clinging onto the slim hope he will cleared to play against Dublin next weekend while the Armagh duo are sweating on a one-match ban which rules them out of a quarter-final clash with Laois.
