GAA: McENIFF SETS GOALS.

BLESSED is the peacemaker.

And newly elected Donegal County chairman Brian McEniff Brian McEniff is a Gaelic football managers in Ulster and Ireland. His success culminated in 1992 when he led his native Donegal team to glory at Croke Park in the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship final against Dublin.  has identified harmony among his board as one of his prime goals.

Speaking shortly after his election he told local radio that he would be hoping to have a harmonious executive.

"I would hope to have our League and championship finished as soon as possible.

"Also I would hope to establish a finance committee to raise funds and develop a training pitch where for our County team.

"I am a great fan of hurling hurling, outdoor ball and stick game similar to field hockey (see hockey, field). The national pastime of Ireland, it was played for many centuries before the Gaelic Athletic Association standardized the rules in 1884.  and would like to bring in a youth policy for its long term development.

It's not clear about how soon a manager can be put in place.

This is another of McEniff's pressing needs.

But some sources have suggested that this could happen within the next fortnight fort·night

Meanwhile, a planned reunion of the All-Ireland 1992 squad in Bundoran this weekend could boost the healing process considerably.
