GAA: JAYO GETS THREE MONTH BAN.

DUBLIN football star Jason Sherlock Jason "Jayo" Sherlock (born 10 January 1976 in Dublin) is an Irish Gaelic footballer and sales manager from Dublin. He played most of his club football for Na Fianna in Glasnevin in the northern suburbs of Dublin.  is out of inter-county and club action for three months following his card in an Allianz National League game against Roscommon in February.

Sherlock, who had his initial appearance before the Games Administration Committee postponed because he was out of the country, learned his fate when the GAC GAC Great American Country

After yesterday's confirmation of outbreaks of foot and mouth disease a contagious disease (Eczema epizoötica) of cattle, sheep, swine, etc., characterized by the formation of vesicles and ulcers in the mouth and about the hoofs.

 in Co. Louth it is still unclear just how much football Sherlock will miss because the ban applies from the date of the game on Feburay 10, 2001.

At the same meeting the GAC also imposed suspensions of twelve weeks on Gregory Kennedy of Galway and Andrew McCann of Armagh. Again, the suspensions apply from the dates of the games in which they were sent off.

Kennedy got his marching orders in the Allianz Hurling League game between Dublin and Galway on February 18 and McCann was red-carded in the Allianz Football League game between Limerick and Armagh on February 25.

Mark Cosgrove Mark James Cosgrove (born 14 June 1984, in Elizabeth, South Australia) is a left handed batsman and part time bowler for South Australia Redbacks cricket team. In 2005 Mark won the Bradman Young Player of the Year award.  of Sligo was suspended for a period of eight weeks as a result of an incident in the Sligo versus Mayo Allianz Football League game, also on February 25, 2001.
