"The situation at the moment is that I haven't been approached to play.

"If I get the call to come back of course I'll consider it. I love playing for Dublin."

Meanwhile, injury- plagued Ian Robertson has suffered yet another setback in his bid to return to the Dublin football ranks.

Lyons has made it clear that the Ballymun Kickhams ace could return to county training when fit.

He suffered an infection following a calf operation at Christmas but was recovering well, though it is now understood he has suffered a second infection.

The news comes as a hammer blow to the player who has been laid low by injuries throughout his career and had hoped to make a county comeback.
