WESTMEATH chiefs have ruled midfielder David O'Shaughnessy out of Sunday's O'Byrne Cup The O'Byrne Cup is a Gaelic Athletic Association competition between teams from Leinster. The competition is named after Matt O'Byrne, a former Club Officer in Wicklow. The participants in the O'Byrne Cup are the twelve counties of Leinster and recently four further education clash with Laois in Mullingar. The Leinster championship winner is suffering from an achilles problem and is set to miss the opening rounds of the National League. O'Shaughnessy played no part in the semi-final victory over Louth and joins All-Stars Dessie Dolan and John Keane on the absentee list for Sunday.
