G&K Services Announces the Addition of a New Management Team Member; David F. Fisher joins G&K as Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary.

MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 4, 2004

G&K Services, Inc. (Nasdaq:GKSRA), one of North America's market leaders in corporate identity apparel programs and facility services, announced today that David F. Fisher will join the company on May 10, 2004 as vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary.

Fisher joins G&K as vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary responsible for establishing and managing G&K's legal function. David will also play a key role in corporate governance matters at G&K. Fisher was most recently president and chief executive officer of Internet Destination Sales System LLC (iDSS). Prior to iDSS he was commissioner of administration and technology for the State of Minnesota where he provided leadership and established business disciplines and efficiencies across a broad base of operations. Previously, he was vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary for ADC Telecommunications, Inc. While at ADC he established in-house legal capacity and was responsible for corporate governance and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to ADC, he held general counsel and international management positions with The Pillsbury Company.

Fisher is a member of the board of directors for PacificNet, Inc. He formerly served on the board of directors for Minnesota Technology, Inc., chaired the Minnesota Technology Enterprise Board and was the executive secretary for the State of Minnesota Executive Counsel. He is also involved with various professional associations, is an adjunct professor of law at William Mitchell School of Law and Hamline University School of Law and has served as a judge in Hennepin County's Conciliation Court. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Minnesota and juris doctor - magna cum laude, from Washburn University School of Law.
