Future scholars honored.


Master's students interested in pursuing a doctorate in parks and recreation, leisure studies, recreation resources management, or related fields are invited to apply to be a 2006 Lucille and Derby Dustin Future Scholar. Sponsored by the Academy of Leisure Sciences and the Society of Park and Recreation Educators (SPRE SPRE Software Process Risk Evaluation ), selected applicants will be invited to participate in NRPA's Congress and Exposition, held in Seattle, Wash. The Future Scholars selected will each receive $1,000 to cover transportation to Congress, lodging and meal expenses. Complimentary registration will be provided by NRPA NRPA National Recreation and Park Association

The Future Scholars Program gives students who are considering a doctorate in a leisure-related field the opportunity to have contact with some of the outstanding researchers who attend NRPA Congress and its associated meetings. Selected students will have a chance to attend meetings of the Academy of Leisure Sciences, the Leisure Research Symposium symposium
