School: Hamilton College Hamilton College, at Clinton, N.Y.; coeducational; founded 1793 by Samuel Kirkland as Hamilton-Oneida Academy, chartered 1812 as Hamilton College. It was named for Alexander Hamilton. Originally a men's college, the school began admitting women in 1979.  (on leave)

Leadership roles: In high school, was speaker for Massachusetts Safe Schools Program and chaired the Greater Boston Regional Student Advisory Council to the state education board, 2000-2001; in college, campus organizer, United States Student Association The United States Student Association (USSA), founded in 1947, bills itself as the oldest and largest student association in the United States. It has a historical and current commitment to diversity and breaking the barriers to educational access imposed by inequality and ; student organizer, Amnesty International Amnesty International (AI,) human-rights organization founded in 1961 by Englishman Peter Benenson; it campaigns internationally against the detention of prisoners of conscience, for the fair trial of political prisoners, to abolish the death penalty and torture of  

Accomplishments: Recipient of Posse Foundation and Jackie Robinson Foundation The Jackie Robinson Foundation is a non-profit organization which provides scholarships to minority youths for higher education, as well as preserving the legacy of Baseball Hall of Fame member, Jackie Robinson.  college scholarships; created speaking campaign as a high school senior to address anti-LGBT bias in schools from junior highs to universities; received certificate of recognition for outstanding contributions to Hamilton College: was featured speaker, Massachusetts Youth Pride Rally, 2001; keynote speaker, Spirit of Justice Awards, Gay and Lesbian Advocates and Defenders Founded in 1978, Gay & Lesbian Advocates & Defenders (GLAD) is a non-profit legal rights organization dedicated to ending discrimination based on sexual orientation, HIV status, and gender identity and expression. , 2005; honoree of Youth Who Make a Difference, Boston Pride 2005
