Two 24-page books in the Future Horizons 'Children's Safety Book' series for preschool and kindergarten kindergarten [Ger.,=garden of children], system of preschool education.  deals with the problem of bullies and how to deal with them safely and successfully. Deputy Sheriff Robert Kahn's "Too Safe For Strangers" (also illustrated by Sue Lyn Cotton) has Bobby and Mandee learning what to do when approached by strangers. Both of these outstanding little books include a Question & Answer Test so that parents and teachers can assess how well children have absorbed the information and advice providing in an entertaining picturebook format, as well as a page to fill in with emergency phone numbers. We live in a world where violence has penetrated our schools and playgrounds, where predators are to be found in every community park, shopping center shopping center, a concentration of retail, service, and entertainment enterprises designed to serve the surrounding region. The modern shopping center differs from its antecedents—bazaars and marketplaces—in that the shops are usually amalgamated into  and neighborhood. "Too Smart For Bullies" and "To Safe For Strangers" should be considered "must" reading for all preschool and kindergarten children with the help and supervision their parents and/or teachers.
