Future Engineers at Allendale Elementary School Recognized by Parsons Corp.

Parsons is sponsoring an FSEA chapter at Allendale, where students learn math and science principles by working with hands-on projects after school. Students take on a different project every one to three months, depending on the complexity of the project.

In the newest project, "Tower of Babel Babel (bā`bəl) [Heb.,=confused], in the Bible, place where Noah's descendants (who spoke one language) tried to build a tower reaching up to heaven to make a name for themselves. ," students are learning principles of cost engineering by strategically building a 45-inch block tower using different-sized blocks. Each block size has a different value, encouraging students to consider the wisest use of the resources available to them.
