STUDENTS had plenty to celebrate at Nicholas Chamberlaine Technology College Nicholas Chamberlaine Technology College is a large school/college in the English town of Bedworth, Warwickshire. It is named after Nicholas Chamberlaine (1632-1715) who was a local benefactor and a prominent figure in the history of Bedworth.  in Bulkington Road, Bedworth, which had a pass rate of 92 per cent and 20 per cent of pupils scoring As and Bs.

Some top performers are Jillian Brindley with an A and three Bs, Sophie Hanson with an A, a B and two Cs, Andrew Gott with an A, B, C and D and Aaron Kalair and Ivana Terzic, both with an A and two Bs.

THE region's main fee-paying schools also notched up impressive results.

Three pupils at the fee paying selective Bablake School Bablake School is an coeducational independent school located in Coundon, Coventry, England. The school motto is "The spirit of opportunity". Bablake is part of the Coventry School Foundation with King Henry VIII School and Coventry Preparatory School.  in Coventry have five As at A-level.

They are Ira Kleine, Tom Hine and Victoria Martin. Ira will study medicine at Cambridge, Tom medicine at Oxford and Victoria natural sciences at Birmingham. Another 14 pupils have four As and another 33 have three As.

There are 80 per cent of all A-levels taken by pupils with A and B grades, 53 per cent with A grades and 96 per cent at A, B or C. Head of the school in Coundon Road, Radford, Coventry, John Watson said: "We are delighted that our pupils have again achieved the results to enable them to fulfil their dreams. We have thoroughly enjoyed working with such a splendid bunch of people who have not only achieved excellent results but will go on to make a generous contribution to society. We wish them both happiness and success."

Head of sixth form James Burns said: "At first glance almost 100 pupils will be heading to their first choice university which is excellent news bearing in mind the concerns over the fight for places in clearing."

King Henry VIII School is an independent school comprising a senior school (ages 11–18) and associated junior school (ages 7–11) located in Coventry, England.
