Futterman in 6-building retail deal.


Robert K. Futterman & Associates arranged a long-term lease on behalf of a partnership of investors for six retail buildings in New Jersey totaling 50,000 s/f and subsequently sub-leased spaces in three of the buildings.

RKF RKF Rapid Knowledge Formation  executive vice president Barry Fishbach represented all parties in the multiple transactions.

The six buildings are: 680 and 698 Main Avenue, Passaic; 3701 Bergenline Avenue, Union City; 145 Smith Street, Perth Amboy Perth Amboy (ăm`boi), city (1990 pop. 41,962), Middlesex co., NE N.J., with a harbor on Arthur Kill at the mouth of the Raritan River, which is crossed there to Staten Island, N.Y., by the Outerbridge Crossing (1928); settled 1683, inc. ; 5800 Bergenline Avenue, West New York West New York, town (1990 pop. 38,125), Hudson co., NE N.J., atop the Palisades across the Hudson River from New York City; settled 1790, inc. 1898. It is a residential town with some light industry. West New York is also a leading U.S. embroidery center. ; and 414 37th Street, Union City.

Fishbach sub-leased two spaces to national retailers, these are: 3,400 s/f to Children's Place at 698 Main Avenue and 7,000 s/f to New York New York, state, United States
New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States. It is bordered by Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the Atlantic Ocean (E), New Jersey and Pennsylvania (S), Lakes Erie and Ontario and the Canadian province of
 & Company at 3701 Bergenline Avenue. An additional 3,500 s/f of retail space was sub-leased to La Moda at 680 Main Avenue.

"This was a rare opportunity to invest in a package of prime retail buildings in several downtown locations in New Jersey," said Fishbach.

RKF had previously secured the leases for Foot Locker Foot Locker, Inc. (NYSE: FL) is a major American sportswear and footwear retailer, with its headquarters in New York City, and operating in approximately 20 countries worldwide. It is the successor corporation to the F.W. Woolworth Company (“Woolworth’s”).  and Rainbow Shops--national retailers who also lease space in the portfolio.
