Burns, chairman & CEO; Gary E. Fendler, executive vice president; John G. Keller, executive vice president; and Song Kim, CFO and Treasurer.

John A. Burns, chairman & CEO, FundsXpress

Burns has more than 20 years management experience in various high technology, financial services, and real estate companies. Prior to FundsXpress, Burns founded two other technology companies, which won contracts with the State of Texas, large corporations, and other major forces in the computer industry such as the Digital Equipment Corporation, Xerox Corporation, Ford Motor Company, General Motors, IBM, Motorola, Dell and 3M. Burns was also a partner in the Sendero REO Group, a financing and high technology consulting firm based in Austin, Texas, from 1986 to 1988, where he advised clients on venture financing, strategic planning, budgeting, and operations plans. As co-founder and president of Balcones Computer Company, John purchased the source code and distribution rights for, what later became, Microsoft Basic from Bill Gates and Paul Allen. Burns is very active in community affairs, especially with schools and students. As a volunteer in the Austin Independent School District's nationally acclaimed Adopt-a-School program, he established a formal internship program at the company. His work resulted in his being named Volunteer of the Year, the program's highest honor, in 1996.

Gary E. Fendler, executive vice president, FundsXpress

Gary E. Fendler brings extensive business and communications skills to the FundsXpress management team. Fendler has served as vice president for Business Development for Logical Design Solutions Inc., Enterprise-wide communications consulting firm for Corporate Affairs, Human Resources, Information Technology, Sales & Marketing, Training and Government Affairs departments using secure Web technology. LDS developed, designed and implemented employee self-service communications systems (Intranets) for use behind corporate firewalls. He was a founding partner of Visionscape, a strategic communications company specializing in image management and interactive electronic systems development (Intranets). He helped design proactive initiatives to support corporate goals as well as crafted communication campaigns targeted to internal and external audiences. Fendler has served as head of strategic communications for Aetna Health Plans. At Aetna he served as principal advisor to the CEO for health care reform media strategy as well as principal media spokesman and he developed and implemented a nationwide health care reform communications plan in all states. He served in high level communications positions at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the White House under President Bush. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Journalism degree.

John G. Keller, executive vice president, FundsXpress

John Keller is an accomplished business leader with a unique, high profile management career across diverse public and private sector organizations. Before joining FundsXpress, he served as chief of staff to the chairman of Foundation Health Systems Inc., in Pueblo, Colo. He upgraded the quality and caliber of all senior administration and organ-izational management functions as well as assessed existing operations, and designed/implemented improved operating efficiencies, internal controls and management structures. He served as president and founding partner of Visionscape/JGK & Associates, an exclusive management consulting company that provided high-level strategic and tactical leadership to the tourism, entertainment and foodservice industries. The company specialized in the design, development and implementation of organizational, administrative, operating, human resource, finance, technology, policy and public affairs programs. Keller was deputy assistant to the president in the Bush White House where he planned and orchestrated an aggressive reorganization of the White House Office of Special Initiatives and White House Advance Office. He developed and implemented a management plan, organizational structure and manpower management program to more effectively meet the President's logistical needs surrounding his public appearances. He reported directly to the President. Additionally, Keller held positions in the U.S. Department of Commerce. He graduated from Iowa State University with a B.S. in Microbiology.

Song Kim Chief, financial officer and treasurer, FundsXpress

Before joining FundsXpress, Song was vice president and treasurer of Power Computing Corporation of Round Rock, Texas, the first licensee and manufacturer of MacOS/Power PC-based systems sold through the direct marketing model. Before being acquired by Apple Computer, it was one of the fastest growing computer companies in history. He has served in a variety of senior level financial positions with the following companies over the past twenty years: Ambex Venture Group, LLC / Ambex Technologies Inc., Sunnyvale, Calif.; Diamond Multimedia Systems Inc., San Jose, Calif.; Landmark Communications Inc; Beverly Enterprises; Minnetonka Inc., Chaska, Minn.; Deloitte & Touche (formerly Touche Ross & Co.), Minneapolis, Minn.; F-Stop Camera & Supply Inc., Iowa City, Iowa.

Glenda Eades, assistant to chairman/CEO and corporate secretary, FundsXpress

Eades first worked with Burns from 1979 to 1985 at Balcones Computer Corporation where she was a corporate vice president. She rejoined him in January 1994 and is currently the assistant to the chairman of the board where she assists Burns in administration, operations, strategic planning, and personnel matters. In addition, she serves as secretary to the Board of Directors. After leaving Balcones in 1985 and prior to joining FundsXpress, Eades was management information systems and training coordinator for the Austin/Travis County Private Industry Council and R & D administrative coordinator for Dell Computer Corporation. Eades received her BA from the University of Texas at Austin.
