Funai's sales to Wal-Mart expected to top 100 bil. yen in 2002.


OSAKA, May 15 Kyodo

Funai Electric Co. said Wednesday it expects its sales to giant U.S. retailer Wal-Mart Stores Inc. to eclipse 100 billion yen in 2002, almost double 57 billion yen in 2001

Company officials attributed the prediction to a rapid surge in the sales of its DVD DVD: see digital versatile disc.
