"Instant messaging is a huge phenomenon on the desktop that will be equally huge on the cell phone," said FunMail CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board. , Adam Lavine. "Our integration of the FunMail engine into an interoperable IM platform is a giant step toward an animated instant messaging system on people's cell phone."

Using the integrated technology, the user types in an instant message, which is analyzed and converted into a relevant animation that is sent to the IM recipient. Under normal traffic conditions, the whole entire process requires only a few seconds.

"Animated messages are the next logical step in instant messaging," said Lavine. "Users won't settle for boring text messages or emoticons (e.g. :-)) when they can inject real emotion and personality into their IM sessions with animated instant messages. The entertainment value and sheer fun of FunMail IM is incredibly compelling."

Recently, FunMail has announced successful introduction of a WAP version of its email-based animated messaging technology and launch of its new desktop subscription service. These services will be integrated with FunMail's IM platform.

The email-based animated messaging engine scales the animation for the destination device depending on the device's display and sound capabilities. FunMails can be sent phone-to-phone, or computer-to-phone. The FunMail media engine can render animation in a variety of formats, from black and white to rich color, supporting WAP, SMS and i-mode capable phones, as well as PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) A handheld computer for managing contacts, appointments and tasks. "One of the best things about FunMail IM is that it is designed to work with the IM systems that millions of people are already using," added Lavine, "Whether you're using AOL, Yahoo, MSN or ICQ, you'll be able to add customized animations to your instant messages."
