Fun day to reveal ideas to boost area.

PEOPLE living on a Coventry estate will see how their ideas on improving the area will be implemented at a beach party fun day.

Hundreds of people took part in the survey organised by Groundwork Coventry to find out how to make Radford Diamond a better place to live in.

And their ideas will be on display at the Community Fun Day at Nauls Mill Park on Wednesday.

Claire Bullen, community project officer for Groundwork, said: "We spoke to more than 300 people by going out onto the streets and asking them about their area.

"We interviewed lots of the people who wouldn't normally come to public meetings or take part in public consultations. Lots of them were out and about - we talked to young people standing at fish and chip shops and around the area.

"Some people said it was a really lovely place to live and others said they often felt quite down about it, with the streets covered in rubbish and people not maintaining their front gardens."

The Neighbourhood plan includes ideas for an astro turf turf: see lawn.
