Fuming over shelters.


PEOPLE living near pubs in the region are opposing plans to provide shelters for smokers outside the premises.

The pub wants to erect a covered area with seating and planting as well as a boundary fence.

Three letters of objection were sent to North Tyneside North Tyneside is a metropolitan borough of Tyne and Wear in the North East of England. Its seat is at the Town Hall, Wallsend.

Created in 1974, the borough lies within the historic county boundaries of Northumberland.
 Council on the grounds of impact on the school environment, the health of children and the potential of more noise.

Neighbours of The Jolly Bowman said the new shelter could lead to a rise in anti-social behaviour and disturbance outside the pub.
