Fulwider Patton LLP Announces Michael J. Moffatt Has Been Named Partner; Kenneth Cheney Joins the Firm.


LOS ANGELES -- Fulwider Patton LLP is pleased to announce that Michael J. Moffatt has been named a partner in the firm. Mr. Moffatt joined Fulwider Patton LLP in April 2002 as an Associate in the Long Beach office. He is a member of the California Bar and is a registered Patent Attorney; his practice focuses on patent prosecution and litigation in the mechanical and electromechancial arts and medical devices. Mr. Moffatt also serves on the board of advisors for the California State University Enrollment
 Regional Technology Center, and is a member of the RTC's mentoring committee. He has also guest lectured at several universities on intellectual properties issues. Mr. Moffatt graduated cum laude from Pepperdine University School of Law The Pepperdine University School of Law is a law school in Malibu, California. Pepperdine Law offers Juris Doctor degrees as well as LL.M. degrees in taxation law, international law, business and corporate law.  (1995) after receiving his Bachelor (1986) and Masters Degrees (1992) in Mechanical Engineering from California State University, Long Beach.

Prior to joining Fulwider, Mr. Moffatt was a partner with the firm of Price & Gess in Irvine, California. He also served as a judicial extern extern /ex·tern/ (ek´stern) a medical student or graduate in medicine who assists in patient care in the hospital but does not reside there.

Kenneth Cheney, a former project manager for Sony Pictures Entertainment, has joined Fulwider Patton as an associate. Prior to joining Fulwider, Cheney had practiced as an electrical and computer engineer with Fortune 150 companies, including TRW Space & Technology, PacifiCare, and most recently, Sony Pictures Entertainment. Ken is a certified Project Management Professional CPMP, Certified Project Management Professional, is a certification created by NPMA (National Project Management Association) in Taiwan, R.O.C. Cheney received his J.D. from Loyola Law School Loyola Law School is the law school of Loyola Marymount University, a private Jesuit school in Los Angeles, California. Loyola was established in 1920.
