Full-body labels now appear on formed cups.


Full-body shrink labels, which are brightening up the shelf appeal of today's blow molded packaging, now are embellishing thermoformed products, too. Pinar, a Turkish dairy-products company, is using PVC PVC: see polyvinyl chloride.

 full-body shrink labels on PP and PS dessert cups that are designed and formed by Huhtamaki Turkey in Istanbul. The initial application is for 2.6- to 4.7-in. diam. containers that Pinar uses for a line of dairy-based mousse products.

Shrink sleeves designed by Huhtamaki incorporate adhesion points on the inner surface that activate at 340 to 390 F after containers enter the shrink tunnel. The applicator ap·pli·ca·tor
