Full Sail offers Session Lager in 11-oz. stubbies.

The Full Sail Brewing Co. of Hood River The Hood River is a tributary of the Columbia River in northwestern Oregon in the United States.  Jamie Emmerson, Full Sail brewmaster brew·mas·ter
n.
A brewer, especially the head brewer at a microbrewery.
, "Session is an extremely tasty import style lager--a lot like the kind of beer American breweries made back in the pre-prohibition days. It has plenty of flavor--and goes down clean and smooth."

"This project has really been a labor of love," Emmerson adds. "After 17 years of brewing great ales, we wanted to brew a lager that would appeal to all good beer drinkers--import, micro, or otherwise. The stubby bottle is part of American brewing history and after years of thinking, developing, formulating, and tasting we brewed a beer that was the right fit for the bottle. And from the reaction we've been getting, I think we really hit the mark."

The all-malt beer will be packaged in 12-packs, Mr. Emmerson says. "Session is continental Pilsner is brewed with American and European hops for a wonderful noble hop aroma, and two row barley barley, annual cereal plant (Hordeum vulgare and sometimes other species) of the family Gramineae (grass family), cultivated by humans probably as early as any cereal.  malt, with a touch of wheat malt for a pleasant refreshing finish. Just the kind of beer that you want after a surf or ski session, or a jam session. You get the idea. As they say around here, 'Have a good session'."

According to Emmerson, the package design was developed by Sandstrom Design of Portland, OR, and is intended to celebrate the traditional aspects of the beer, as well as highlighting the distinctive stubby bottle.

Emmerson notes that the twist off caps reveal the classic American game "Rock, Paper, Scissors scissors

Cutting instrument or tool consisting of a pair of opposed metal blades that meet and cut when the handles at their ends are brought together. Modern scissors are of two types: the more usual pivoted blades have a rivet or screw connection between the cutting ends
" to help consumers resolve pressing concerns--like who will buy the next round.
