Now this gives me a great excuse for not getting the tasks assigned completed, but my wife, Louise, tells me with some intensity that excuses really don't count for much. Each of us has a role to play, and if we make our small contribution all goes well and things get done, even when it snows. What a wonderful place God's "kingdom on earth" would be if we all just volunteered two hours a week to care about our neighbors in need. Lord God creator of all that is good, give us abundant energy and purpose so that we can contribute to the well being of your earthly kingdom.
