WHAT: Fujitsu will announce a significant enhancement for its
FLASHWAVE(R) 4500 core optical transport product that will take
the platform into a new market segment. In addition, Fujitsu will
announce a reseller agreement to broaden its FLASHWAVE product
line. Other enhancements, new products and fully converged
carrier-class optical transport solutions will be demonstrated in
the Fujitsu booth comprising several areas:
-- Converged access and metro core networks featuring the widely
deployed FLASHWAVE 4000 multiservice SONET transport platforms
and the scalable FLASHWAVE 7000 Dense Wavelength Division
Multiplexing (DWDM) solutions
-- Live demonstration of unified Flexible Architecture for
Subscriber Service Termination (FASST(TM)) solutions,
including SONET and WDM transport, Optical Ethernet, Managed
IP services, Advanced Subscriber Management (ASM) and
Migration edge applications featuring Fujitsu, Atrica,
Hammerhead and CoSine products and management systems
-- Wireless transport applications, including cell tower traffic
aggregation, Digital Cross-connect System (DCS) grooming and
core network convergence
-- Business continuity solutions for carrier-class Storage Area
Networking (SAN) across optical networks for replication and
warehousing of mission critical data
-- Enterprise solutions that leverage the global power of Fujitsu
and its vast computing, consulting, systems integration and
