Fujitsu Australia Limited and Optimal Robotics Corp. (Nasdaq:OPMR OPMR Optimal Robotics Corporation (stock symbol) ) today announced the availability of the new low profile U-Scan(R) self-checkout solution for the Australian retail market.

The new U-Scan(R) station design delivers more options for customers, increases checkout capacity and boosts store profitability by enabling more efficient labour use throughout the store. U-Scan(R) self-checkout will be demonstrated on Fujitsu's stand at Retail Business Technology 2002, Melbourne Exhibition Centre, 28-30 August 2002.
