The product is aimed at the small-office, home-office, and WinFax users, and is expected to ship within the next two months. The Delrina WinFax Scanner will be marketed by Delrina through its established distribution channels.

"This initiative seeks to redefine the category for personal desktop scanners and maximize the importance and use of fax on the computer," said Tony Katz, product manager at Delrina. "Our long term plan is to leverage the hardware expertise of Fujitsu and our software strength to foster further joint ventures in the future."

"Fujitsu is broadening its leadership in the scanner marketplace to address a growing base of users who depend on their computer for their everyday faxing, scanning and document management needs," said Mary Ann Burns, marketing manager for Fujitsu's imaging products.
