The network services provider will incorporate two Aspen components -- the Aspen Learning Management Server (LMS) and the Aspen Learning Experience Server (LXS LXS Lucid Xml Server

) -- to provide personalized training on core products and business processes, including Fujitsu's internal and proprietary SAP training program.

"Fujitsu Network Communications, Inc. selected Click2learn's Aspen platform after an intensive market review process in which we explored many of the leading e-Learning players," said Joe Carlisle, Director, Organizational Performance Organizational performance comprises the actual output or results of an organization as measured against its intended outputs (or goals and objectives).

and Employee Development of Fujitsu Network Communications. "In our opinion, Click2learn's Aspen platform represents one of the most comprehensive, robust and scalable e-Learning technologies available on the market today, along with the talent and vision to lead the industry in terms of future e-Learning development."

By delivering these courses through the Aspen LMS and LXS components, Fujitsu gains a single point of management for tracking all corporate training activities -- including traditional classroom instruction, standard knowledge documents and highly personalized online learning content.

Aspen LMS, an expansion of Click2learn's industry-leading skills and competency-based learning management technology, also enables Fujitsu training managers to track employees' progress, assign courses to close skill gaps and deploy 360 degree assessments to measure knowledge gains.

As the program is rolled out and results are tracked, the Aspen components will enable training managers to analyze how corporate content is performing at virtually any level of the learning process -- whether that's zeroing in on a specific question in a quiz or evaluating multiple trends within the organization's entire skills development program.

"After a rigorous examination of the market, Fujitsu determined that Aspen is the platform they will use not only to manage their internal development program, but also to leverage proprietary training programs and bring them to market," said Kevin Oakes, Chairman and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. "We take special pride in this endorsement of our Aspen technology Aspen Technology (NASDAQ: AZPN) provides software and professional services to the manufacturing and process industries which allows companies to model, manage, and control their operations.

AspenTech was founded in 1981 by MIT professor Dr.
, given that it comes from an organization that is itself one of the world's top leaders in information technology systems."

Described by industry analysts as the new model for enterprise learning technology, Click2learn's Aspen platform is designed to facilitate the capture, management and dissemination of corporate knowledge to improve productivity and business performance.

The platform, which began shipping in September, has an open architecture and is made up of three modular but independent components that are designed to work as an integrated system. The Aspen Learning Management Server (LMS) is used for competency management, skills-gap analysis, tracking of assessments and resource management for either e-Learning or instructor-led training. The Aspen Content Development Server (CDS) is used to rapidly author highly effective e-Learning content and manage large, team-based content development projects. And the Aspen Learning Experience Server (LXS) delivers a personalized learning experience to improve knowledge transfer and facilitate knowledge exchange with a community of peers and experts.
