eBusiness Management Platform Sets the Stage for Global Expansion

Fujitsu Software Corporation (FS), a U.S.-based wholly-owned subsidiary of Fujitsu Limited, today announced the launch of a major ebusiness software initiative in the United States United States, officially United States of America, republic (2005 est. pop. 295,734,000), 3,539,227 sq mi (9,166,598 sq km), North America. The United States is the world's third largest country in population and the fourth largest country in area.  led by the introduction of its INTERSTAGE Application Server 4.0.

FS initially will distribute the INTERSTAGE Application Server, its i-Flow business process automation product, and its QoEtient eBusiness Management Platform (eBMP) through direct sales, partners, and Fujitsu group channels. The introduction of these ebusiness software solutions today in the U.S. underscores Fujitsu's commitment to the world's largest and most demanding market.

FS' parent, Fujitsu Limited, is the third-largest information technology products and services company in the world, with 60,000 IT support and service professionals and operations in more than 100 countries. Fujitsu is already the leading application server provider in Japan, where it commands a more than 30 percent market share.

Fujitsu's flagship ebusiness product is the INTERSTAGE Application Server. By late 2001, the INTERSTAGE Application Server will be installed on 25,000 servers worldwide. Customers include one of the world's largest automakers and half of the top-tier financial institutions in Japan.

In addition to the new INTERSTAGE Application Server 4.0, FS is introducing i-Flow 4.1, a new version of the 100% Java- and only 100% browser-based business process automation engine on the market. It already is in use at some of the largest Global 1000 companies to automate To turn a set of manual steps into an operation that goes by itself.
