Fujitsu Software Corporation Announces Fortran Support for the Microsoft .NET Platform.

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 18, 2001

Fujitsu Software Corporation today announced that Fortran has been added to the languages it will support for the Microsoft .NET Framework. Today's announcement means that organizations with an investment in Fortran, a programming language developed in 1954 to express mathematical calculations, will now have access to the latest in XML XML
 in full Extensible Markup Language.

Markup language developed to be a simplified and more structural version of SGML. It incorporates features of HTML (e.g., hypertext linking), but is designed to overcome some of HTML's limitations.
