 analyst group IDC, the company posted a growth in all notebook markets across the region including an impressive year-on-year (YoY) growth of 242 per cent in Egypt.

Fujitsu Siemens Computers Fujitsu Siemens Computers is a Japanese and German IT vendor, selling consumer and business computing products in the markets of Europe, the Middle East and Africa (products marketed elsewhere are sold under the Fujitsu brand).  also continued its presence in the region's desktop market posting a 46 per cent YoY growth in Saudi Arabia Saudi Arabia (sä`dē ərā`bēə, sou`–, sô–), officially Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, kingdom (2005 est. pop.  while the market grew at a mere six per cent, and 65 per cent in other Middle East markets.

The company ranked among the top five vendors in Egypt as it again experienced exponential YoY growth of 242 per cent during Q408, capturing 12.5 per cent of Egypt's notebook market share. The company registered a staggering 690 per cent growth in Saudi Arabia's desktop and notebook segment owing to increased shipments during Q408.

"Despite challenges in many global markets, our regional presence has remained strong and we are experiencing continued growth in the notebooks segment in key Middle East markets," said Stephane Rejasse, Managing Director for Fujitsu Siemens Computers ME. "We also attribute this growth to the rise in demand for our newly designed consumer notebooks --the AMILO range. We are confident our market share will increase through out the region."
