Fujimori: Fact vs. Fiction. (Letters to the Editor).

As Mr. Jasper has clearly indicated in both his recent article and his response to Ray Jensen, his purpose was not to review or endorse all of the policies and programs of Peru's former president, Alberto Fujimori Alberto Ken'ya Fujimori (Spanish IPA: [alˈbeɾto ˈkenja ˌfuxiˈmoɾi], Japanese IPA:  ("Pulling the Plug on Fujimori," December 30th issue; "More on Fujimori," January 27th). Jasper did help us to see that no country, no individual, is outside the interests of those that would run the world.

Fujimori was of particular concern because he came from nowhere, with no debts to anyone, and implemented diverse programs across a wide spectrum to end four-digit inflation, destroy two well-entrenched terrorist groups, slash the size and scope of government, restore the inflow in·flow

At all times he did (and still does) have the overwhelming support of the "rural women" referred to as suffering at the hands of former "dictator dictator, originally a Roman magistrate appointed to rule the state in times of emergency; in modern usage, an absolutist or autocratic ruler who assumes extraconstitutional powers. From 501 B.C. until the abolition of the office in 44 B.C., Rome had 88 dictators. " Fujimori.

While we may be wrong, we find it easy to dismiss the Population Research Institute "report" as just another exaggerated or fictional attack against one of our great Heroes of the Twentieth Century. And we are thankful thank·ful
