Fujifilm Announces ''Data Tape Courier'' Media Shipper Line; Brink's Secure Data Solutions First to Utilize Specialized Design to Maintain Data Tape Integrity During Transport.

ATLANTA -- Fuji Photo Film U.S.A., Inc., the leading provider of midrange data storage media in the U.S.(1) and subsidiary of the leading global imaging and information technologies company, today announced the Fujifilm Data Tape Courier - a new product specially designed for the safe handling and transportation of midrange and enterprise data cartridges containing backup and archival data. These shippers will be shown for the first time this week in the Fujifilm booth (#141) at the Data Center World Show in Atlanta.

The first customer expected to adopt the new shippers will be Brink's Incorporated, for its Secure Data Solutions product line. A leading provider of secure logistics worldwide. Brink's provides security solutions for transporting highly valuable commodities, including gold, cash, securities, corporate files, data tapes and other sensitive material. The company will use the new Fujifilm Data Tape Courier to help maintain the integrity of data storage cartridges when transporting a customer's valuable data from one location to another.

"Many industries are particularly vulnerable to the risks associated with the transportation, storage and destruction of sensitive media," said Richard Eskew, Vice President, Global Services, Brink's Secure Data Solutions. "Brink's has always been trusted for delivering the highest level of security and service and we continuously look to find the partners, products and services that add to our value proposition."

Many of the new government compliance regulations state that a company is required to maintain procedures for properly managing and keeping secure customer and business data while in the IT system or elsewhere.

"Maintaining integrity of data has become a focus for many corporate data centers, particularly as disaster recovery strategies and government compliance become critical to the longevity of a business," said Rich Gadomski, Vice President of Marketing, Fujifilm Recording Media Division.
