Fuji Keizai Analyzes Functional Cosmetics Market in Japan.


Tokyo, Japan, Sept 29, 2005 - (JCNN JCNN Japan Corporate News Network ) - Japanese market researcher Fuji Keizai has published a report on the Japanese market for functional cosmetic products. The report covers four sectors; skin care, base makeup makeup

The report cites base makeup products for sensitive skin, hair fragrance and anti-aging care products as promising areas. Specifically, the market for base makeup products for sensitive skin will grow from 6.6 billion yen ($59 mil) in 2004 to 7.3 billion yen ($65 mil) in 2005; the hair fragrance market will expand from 10.7 billion yen ($95 mil) to 11.7 billion yen ($104 mil); the anti-aging care market will rise from 228 billion yen ($2.0 bil) to 244.7 billion yen ($2.2 bil).
