This excellent gothic romance by an award-winning novelist is full of drama, suspense and true happiness and, as a first-person narrative, the audio format suits it well. In Victorian England, 16-year-old Emilia Daniels, in a fit of rebellion, elopes with the first man to find her attractive. Bishop is a lovely narrator NARRATOR. A pleader who draws narrs serviens narrator, a sergeant at law. Fleta, 1. 2, c. 37. Obsolete. . Her mature voice fits the older Emilia, but she emulates the innocence of children with pleasing skill. The gentry have voices and accents befitting be·fit·ting
