Kerri Lewis had two singles and scored four times to lead the eighth-ranked Lions (17-1) in West Boylston.

Erin Peete had a single, scored a run and stole two bases for the Gaels (5-12).

Nipmuc 4, Westboro 3

Nicki Hackenson struck out 14 and broke a 2-2 tie with a two-run triple in the sixth to send the host Warriors (7-12) to victory.

Aliey Armstrong was 2 for 3 with two runs in the win.

Ashley Chapman went the distance in Game 1, allowing five hits while going 3 for 4 with 2 RBIs. Babineau also helped herself in Game 2, batting 2 for 3 with a double and an RBI.

Sophomore Jacqui Holmes of the Division 2 host Trojans (11-4) upset MaryBeth Ash of the Division 1 Rangers (16-1), who is seeded No. 3 in the individual tournament in the first singles matchup.

In second doubles, Emily Egan and Caroline Korstvedt went back and forth with Westboro's Hayley Murphy and Jaclyn Debs and prevailed after falling behind, 4-0, in the second set.
