Frontier Announces Executive Departure.

Clark Johnson, its Executive Vice President -- Refining Operations, has resigned from the Company in order to accept the position of President and Chief Executive Officer of Orion Refining Corporation. His resignation becomes effective July 3, 2000. Mr. Johnson has been with Frontier since 1992.
Mr. James R. Gibbs, Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer of Frontier will assume Mr. Johnson's former responsibilities on an interim basis. Mr. Gibbs stated that, "While we will miss Clark, we have outstanding professional staff in our Denver office and operations staff at both of our refineries. We anticipate no interruptions during this transition. Our markets are very strong, operations excellent and we expect a very good second quarter."
Frontier currently operates a 110,000 barrel-per-day refinery located in El Dorado, Kansas El Dorado is a city situated along the Walnut River in the central part of Butler County, located in south-central Kansas, in the central United States.
